Embracing the shadows allows us to fully understand the value and beauty of light as we all experience times of darkness, either from situations outside of our control or from the rising of darkness within. Although, while in the midst of these times, all circumstances can seem lost or hopeless, it can be a time for understanding and growth. We can invite these feelings to stay, hang out, and listen to what they want to tell us.
We need to experience darkness times in order to be whole. There is no light without the dark. No day without night. Balance of our light and dark is where we thrive. It is our darkness that allows all things to shine through.
The concept of embracing darkness as a part of our existence has been pondered upon by many philosophical thinkers throughout history. It is often said that it is during our darkest moments that we truly discover our strength and resilience. Just like how the night sky allows the stars to shine brightly, our own darkness allows our inner light to illuminate.

As you begin to relax, allow yourself to acknowledge any feelings of darkness or discomfort that may arise. Remember, this meditation is a space for exploration and growth. Embrace the darkness within as an integral part of your journey towards self-discovery and healing.
Visualize yourself standing at the entrance of a deep, mystical forest. This forest represents your subconscious mind, where your shadows reside. Take a moment to observe the atmosphere, noting any sensations or emotions that arise.
With each step you take, feel yourself entering deeper into the forest. As you delve into the shadows, remain open to whatever arises. Embrace the discomfort or unease that may come forward, knowing that it is an opportunity for growth and self-understanding.
Now, imagine a small light emanating from your heart center. This light represents your inner strength and resilience. Allow it to grow, becoming brighter with each breath. As the light expands, notice how it casts its illuminating rays on the surrounding darkness.
